Continuous internal evaluation process

Continuous internal evaluation process
The VPSASC's evaluation and learning standards set forth the rules for continuous internal evaluation (CIE).Recognizes that assessments—including tutorials, tests, exercises, seminars, presentations, and reading and writing tests in the classroom—are an essential component of the literacy process, not simply one aspect of it. The
rules of the continuous internal evaluation (CIE) are that all student assessment bases, with the exception of final exams, must follow continuous assessment methods. According to the program's curriculum and specific courses, the ongoing assessment may consist of practical exercises and tests, written assignments, systems, oral
examinations, presentations, tutorials, and seminars this can enhance students' literacy skills. The five following
principles are part of the policy.
1. Assessments will help in learning.
2. Assessments will be a part of the curriculum.
3. Assessments will be fair, ethical, and student-centered.
4. Good behavior will be promoted

Information-sharing with students on ongoing assessment results:
Each student will get the following data as per academic planner:
i) The continuing assessment schedule, which summarizes outcomes in each topic in accordance with the approved syllabus and course structure by SPPU.
ii) Exam dates and/or deadlines for completing course-related examination provided through a notice. (e.g. class test, Assignment, tutorial).
iii) Special subject having grading (Physical Edu., Environment etc.) guidelines, such as criteria for passing certain Internal submission.

Notification for absent and late submission of records
Within 10 working days after the date of the examination or its conclusion, students must submit a written request and any necessary supporting documents to the college Principal. The student is required to list any acceptable reasons for absences that they consider are acceptable. The majority administration must hold onto this. For absences from the exam-related part, late registrations are only taken into consideration if there are valid reason for the absence and the absence lasts more than 10 working days after the deadline are consider.
If not proper submission or late submission:
i) The review time will be prolonged without paying any late fees.
ii) If a student misses an exam, they must retake it;
iii) instead of receiving no credit for the missed test, they have the option of taking an alternate assessment. It might not always be possible or practicable to retake an exam or turn in a late exam.
iv) In this situation, other test components could be reassessed to help the student make up for the missed exam.

Display assessment / Exam notice on notice board
COE/ Principal/ HOD’s/ examination committee within the framework of the academic procedure could display or issue notice regarding internal exam, submission, reports etc. to the students. The students also have responsibility to periodically check the notice board.

Evaluation Process:
There are many parameters by which the performance of a student can be evaluated regularly.
1. Assignments
2. Unit tests
3. Tutorials
4. Open book tests
5. Practical exams/Practical oral in every session
6. Seminars/Presentations/Group Discussion on a specific topic
Extra lectures for weak students and remedial coaching for failed students are conducted
